Want fans? You probably need to make a change.

Consistently good service doesn’t earn raving fans. Consistently good service that consistently improves is what does that.

Why? Because continually getting better sends a message. It says you are dedicated to the ongoing well-being of customers. It says you have integrity. It says you care about more than yourself.

To customers, that’s a welcome difference. Too many businesses live by self-interest. Their employees hear it daily, hourly, in meetings, and by the water cooler. It becomes part of them. It becomes the way they operate. It works for the business but whittles away at raving fans. Bit by bit they walk away.

If self-interest is your business, you need to change. If self-interest is your business, you will not last.

The change isn’t that hard. The change is getting out of your own skin. The change is wanting to be better. The change is talking about excellence daily, hourly, in meetings, and by the water cooler.

Start today. Make a change. Earn fans.
