I want to help you, I really do. But do you really?

Businesses like to communicate messages, and so many of them say, “We care about you” or “We want to help you.” But how many act out those messages? How many walk their talk?

I was watching one of those house-hunting shows, and the realtor not only showed the client houses for purchase but also showed them a rental because the client had sold their old home and may have needed place to live while taking time to find that perfect, new home. The realtor was paying attention. They took the time to be inconvenienced to take care of the customer. As I say in my book, they gave a $#!+.

Imagine that.

If you say you care, if you say you want to help people, stand by those words. Be willing to be inconvenienced to do the work. Have integrity. Do the right thing. Truly be helpful.
