The right choice. Don’t settle for less.

“When you come to a fork in the road, take it!” -Yogi Berra

Choices. We make thousands of them daily.

Toast or cereal? Coffee or tea? Red or blue? Walk or ride?

Some are mundane while others are life-altering. And regardless of their weight, we are advised to make good ones.

But what is a good choice?

Sounds complicated …but it’s really not.

It’s about considering impact. It’s about probable outcomes.

Good choices cause no harm. They work to make things better. They move in a direction that is kind, generous, and helpful.

But good choices are often hard. They may be the bumpy road, not the smooth one. They may be the one with work involved.

That’s why we often make bad choices. Easy is attractive. Easy gets us back on our effortless, comfy couch. And we like the comfy couch.

But change, change for good, rarely comes from the comfy couch. So, be mindful, don’t take the easy route for the sake of easy. Take the fork with good behind it. Take the road that ends in a better place, not just a lazy one.

Make good choices, yes, but make choices that do good.
