As a leader, are you more interested in recognition or in getting things done?
Recognition is about you. Results are about a team because you only get results with a team. Even the loners who think they do it all need a team. A writer needs a publisher and readers. A composer needs an orchestra and listeners.
Recognition is a singles game. Results are shared. Recognition is today. Results are ongoing.
The trophy on the mantle may feel good but results change things. Results make a difference and that difference moves the movement.
If you want to lead, forget about the credit and start moving things.
