We humans were not meant to go it alone. All of us needs a helping hand, even those who think they can do everything themselves.
So, take some time this week to appreciate those who’ve helped you. Every day there are people we can thank for all manner of help even if that help only showed up in kind supportive words. And it doesn’t matter whether it’s the most powerful among us or the lowliest, help and support are everywhere if we care to look.
The janitor at work keeps things clean and running, thank them. The police officer who pulls you over is trying to keep you and others safe, thank them. When traffic is holding you up, be grateful that you can drive to and from things. There are so many people and things to appreciate and be grateful for.
If you do nothing else this week, think about all the blessings in your life and be grateful. And if it makes you feel good, and it will, do it again the next day, and the next and the next until it becomes a habit.
We were not meant to go it alone and I’m grateful for that. Happy Thanksgiving!

Thanks Neal – gratitude is a mindset and I’ve found it’s the key to living a thriving life. As your simple everyday examples illustrate, when you have a grateful mindset you actually make the world a better place.
